a cross emerges from going deeper...

So at the retreat I picked up the erasure and went deeper...

it will hang in my studio as a constant reminder of how blessed I am to have a studio. A studio where I utilize what I see as an amazing gift from God.

  4. Your Cross is beautiful, brother; and yet seems to me to also give image of a "dagger". It had me, last night, lost in thought, with something to say, and yet unable to bring it forth. This morning's visit, however, reminds me that, in Hebrews, the author tells us that God's word is "sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart". Even so the Cross that held the Word is able to penetrate us....

@jim: even when i think i might be getting it, you bring out a whole different perspective and i face palm myself, wondering how i could have missed it? "going deeper," indeed.
