What you see above are the final six cards I drew by way of my Lenten practice of drawing cards for staff members at my school. In all 35 people were chosen by... Count down 21 names, draw a card, count down 21 names draw a card...
Some of the people I treasure the most at work got a card, some who I was sad to say, "Who is that?" got a card. But that was part of the practice, to let the number 21 guide me, not my opinion on who should get a card.
and I was reminded of the positive energy that flows back to me when I take the time draw a card...

Thanks for the lovely card! It was such a nice treat to see this morning. I had the day off on Friday, so it brightened my Monday! I will find a nice location to display it in my office

ReplyDeleteNance, four of them started with a black sharpie in hand. The color come from prismacolors
DeleteAre they prismamacolour pencils or markers? I am assuming pencils.
DeleteI can see now which ones you started with the black marker. Like the led or grout in the nutmeg works.
I like the effect of both with and without the marker. They each have their own feel.
Nance, pencils are what I use, it is nice to know how much you have left unlike a marker that can run dry in the midst of a card.
Deletei like the feel of using pencil, but, have not done it in awhile.
DeleteYes, indeed, please do continue! They're so pleasant to look at, Wayne. The one on the far left reminds me of a favorite marble I had as a kid. I would roll that thing around in my hand and just marvel at the colors and swirls.

DeleteI am using this post at random to comment...i remember the other comment i left, but not where i left it. It was about sophia and about your child. since i looked up the jesuit retreat place, which sounds wonderful, i am guessing that sophia s a female name for God. and lets's see, i was probably being to rude to ask you about your child. i am just a curious sort that likes to get to know people and talk about things.
