The Differentiated Instruction of Playing Jazz in a Horticulture Classroom

I often have jazz playing inside my classroom. The other day I was listening to the Esbjorn Svensson Trio when the end of 7th period approached. I Thought about the next group of students and decided something a bit mellower was in order. I checked out my jazz stash and went with some Mel Torme.

It worked well.

  1. That's excellent use of the term "differentiated instruction!"

What a cool version of that Eddie Vedder tune. Mel's got a beautiful smooth sound; interesting that he kinda looks old even when he's young.

  3. I'm kind of eclectic as music goes. I definitely like a little bit of this, and little bit of that, with some exceptions...but I do like jazz, and my daughter is starting to like it too. When we hear it, which is usually sporadic, as there aren't any good Jazz music radio stations in my area. I guess I need to streamline listen after I find a good one online somewhere.

    Nice!
