The 12 Days of Christmas Shout Outs:The Buddha in The Garden of Nutmeg Designs for day ten

This morning, the sun came out. Mosaic Woman looked out her studio window and called for me to check out our Buddha. Eventually I got out for a photo; it was not for the first time. Years ago I cleaned up a section of the garden and celebrated that moment in time. Those azaleas failed to thrive.

Now a lilac and a butterfly bush are having there moments in that space. The roses are still here. This summer when I began to call our rather small estate, the garden of Nutmeg Designs, I caught the Buddha in this moment in time.

No Nutmeg Designs did not exist when we moved here, but we did finally break down and buy a home in order for Margaret to have the space to become Mosaic Woman. I also desired a space to create my own garden and have a studio of my own. As new home owners we went off and bought ourselves an unfinished concrete Buddha, and Mosaic Woman spruced it up. Our Buddha has seen many a moment.

Last night inside our house I was unsettled. Snow does that to me, possibly more than anything outside of health scares. Outside snow was settling on the Buddha, inside I needed to be OK with uncertainty.

Where did Wisdom emerge from?

Do you know that Nutmeg Designs has a blog, a collaboration between Mosaic Woman and myself. That is where the story of Wisdom was told.

Mystical Mondays ~ some thoughts on Wisdom

My time at Wernersville has introduced me to Lady Wisdom, and inspired my Sophia spiral design

Wisdom is there to bring us awe each and every moment of the day. I hope to be awed at least daily if not each moment. Maybe one day I will be so wise to live within the constant flow of awesome moments.

Last night it happened within a drum solo

WHEREVER YOU MAY LOOK

Wisdom is
so kind and wise
that wherever you may look
you can learn something
About God.

Why
would not
the omnipresent
teach that
way?

Welcome to Mystical Mondays

Translations by Daniel Ladinsky

Mondays have been about science, but I am changing things up a bit.

1. every Monday I am to send a note to my spiritual group members
2. Michelle, the Quantum Theorist, gave us a really cool book when met with her at the end of Decemember.  Mosaic Woman and I have been reading one poem a night and I thought I would like to share the journey here.

The first of the twelve sacred voices belongs to Rabia.  There have been moments that I have been so amused by her transitions from one verse to another that I have laughed out loud.  I think God is OK with us being amused.

Here is some thoughts from God, through Rabia:

THE WAY IT GOES

Why Think God hads not touched everything
that comes to your desk?

True, he may have kept the best
for Himself.

That is just the
way it
goes.

THE MOMENTS DEPTH

The moment's depth is greater than that of
the future

And from the fields of the past, what can you harvest again?

tried painting,
but it was easier to fly slicing

The Fortune Cookie Was Correct

A month or two before I headed out to the Jesuit Center in Wernersville, I got a fortune that read something like this:

An old love will return to your life.

Mosaic Woman was a bit concerned, however, as the days went by and no old love showed up here or there or anywhere as far as I could tell.. I forgot about the fortune.

It was well into my week of silence before I realized the fortune had been true.  For the first time in several years I had been meeting with a spiritual director, who I loved dearly but because of scheduling issues had not been available to work with me.  But as the years went by, things change.  Our conversations were still amazing but I left the room feeling that I was clearly more a part of where I was being guided to go for the next 24 hours.  Had her style changed?  Had I matured a bit spritually?  No matter, it was good.  It felt right.

And yes, I told her about the fortune cookie, and I told Mosaic Woman about the fortune being true.
