a cross emerges from going deeper...

So at the retreat I picked up the erasure and went deeper...

it will hang in my studio as a constant reminder of how blessed I am to have a studio. A studio where I utilize what I see as an amazing gift from God.

  1. Beautiful! I love the way that the individual pieces flow together.

  2. Oh Wayne!!!!!!!! This is GORGEOUS!!!!! I see a niche for you...... Commissions. (I want one!!!!) Pick a color any color. Colors.Analogous...complimentary... The sky's the limit.... Big, little... Can you say fundraiser for church????? Somebody stop me!!!!!!

  3. Kathryn-- thank you, it was well worth the week of silence ;')

Giggles--- I have two others in my studio one is red the other is in earthtones.

  4. Your Cross is beautiful, brother; and yet seems to me to also give image of a "dagger". It had me, last night, lost in thought, with something to say, and yet unable to bring it forth. This morning's visit, however, reminds me that, in Hebrews, the author tells us that God's word is "sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart". Even so the Cross that held the Word is able to penetrate us....

  5. Jim... thank you for stopping back and leaving these thoughts. your words take me back to what I brought out of the retreat... going deeper

  6. ahhh, you shouldn't have said you have a red one in the studio, wayne. what a beautiful and compelling and serene work of art, my friend.

@jim: even when i think i might be getting it, you bring out a whole different perspective and i face palm myself, wondering how i could have missed it? "going deeper," indeed.

  7. Red--- thanks for stopping by... be nice to your head. get this strudelfest 2009 is the same day as the church's Octoberfest!
